Harmless flirting is common.
Substance Use
During a double date, a man gets heavily drunk. And the FMC has a glass of red wine, but also mentions she doesn't normally drink because she doesn't like the way it makes her feel.
The mayor of the city is seen drinking.
Sexual Content
A man and two women were out scavenging for food. Guards kill the man, but the woman were taken captive. It is said about the women, one can only imagine why they were kept alive, implying sexual gratification for the men but only mentioning that one phrase in passing.
FMC goes on a date and the shady date tries to get touchy with her. However, it doesn't lead anywhere: the shady date loses interest, and we later learn he went to flirt with a hostess.
Violence
A euthanasia program is paramount to the outward plot; as such, death is prominent, though typically not gruesome. There is a scene where "defectors" are said to have been tortured and killed, but the details of their death are not expounded upon.
Spiritual Content
The plot is heavily intertwined with Christianity. The "lawless" are a group of Christians who live without the city because, though not explicitly said to be, it seems Christianity is banned within the city the FMC lives in. The MMC is a Christian from without the city and is an influence on the FMC.
